Jackpot Deuces is an immersive and thrilling Video Poker variant, and the sophisticated players at Mummys Gold just can’t seem to get enough of it! It’s played in the same way the Deuces Wild is, but with the added excitement of a Progressive Jackpot that could be triggered at any time.
Basic Gameplay
This game is played in the same way as every other edition of Video Poker is played, with the objective being to build the best hand of 5 cards that you can, according to standard Poker rankings. You start off by betting 5 coins, and then are dealt 5 cards.
When the first 5 cards appear on your screen you can choose to exchange as many or as few of them as you would like to, in a single turn of swapping. The advantage in Deuces Wild is that all of the 2-value cards, called Deuces, act as Wild Cards. This means they can substitute for any other card to make more winning combinations, and your chances of walking away with something are much greater.
Once your final hand is set, you are paid out according to what these cards are and what you bet in the first place. It all happens very quickly, so you’ve got to be able to think on your feet! This combination of immediacy and the need to think through your strategy quickly is what gives Video Poker games their unique value and makes them so popular.
Hit the Progressive Jackpot
As if the game of Deuces Wild weren’t exciting enough, Jackpot Deuces features a Progressive jackpot. This common pot is added to by every player on the Progressive Network with every bet that they place, so it can award much more than any standalone game ever could. In fact, the best way to refer to these prizes is life-changing!
The Progressive Jackpot in Jackpot Deuces is triggered when you land a Royal Flush of Diamonds, that does not contain any 2s – in other words, a Royal Diamond Flush without any Wild Cards. Knowing that this could happen at any time really makes the game more exciting.
Playing Jackpot Deuces
Because the base game in Jackpot Deuces is the same as in Deuces Wild, you can follow the same strategy as you would there. The strategy charts for this are quite clear, and the other thing, of course, is to keep in mind that the Progressive Jackpot pays out only if there are no 2s in the Diamond Royal Flush. This can make deciding what to keep and what to discard a little trickier.
